Why I Might be a Good Choice for Your Child
In addition to my field experience, I truly care about helping kids develop an interest in reading. While I have no problem with television, movies, or video games, I believe that books take us somewhere truly special. With a few page turns we can find ourselves immersed in a world that we might not otherwise ever encounter! Books can entertain us, expand our imagination, open our worldview, improve our vocabulary, inspire us to action, and even change our lives. A child who is missing out on this because they are behind the rest of their class or simply because they don’t think that reading is worth their time is missing out on something really important.
This is where I come in! I love to share my enthusiasm for the English language and the amazing worlds that it can open up for us through reading and writing.
